Mayor Indya Kincannon today endorsed Councilwoman Lynne Fugate for re-election to Knoxville City Council At Large Seat A.
“I enthusiastically endorse Lynne Fugate for re-election to Knoxville City Council,” said Mayor Kincannon. “From housing to public safety, Lynne puts in the work to understand challenges and then collaborates on pragmatic solutions. In short, Lynne Fugate gets things done.”
Councilwoman Fugate has served on the Knoxville City Council since 2019 and is currently the City Council Representative on the City’s Pension Board. Outside of her public service, Fugate is the Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians which serves girls in 46 counties across three states.
“Lynne’s vision and leadership were driving forces behind the establishment of the Affordable Housing Fund in May 2021,” said Kincannon. “I will be voting for Lynne in the upcoming elections and encourage others to do the same.”
“I am honored to have the endorsement of Mayor Kincannon,” said Councilwoman Fugate. “I look forward to continuing our strong and collaborative relationship to make Knoxville an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
